Review :
Gali Gali Chor Hai movie is all about the common man. The story revolves around a common man named Bharat (Akshaye Khanna) who is a full time cashier and a part time Hanuman at local Ramleela, lives in the city of Bhopal with his father Shivnarayan (Satish Kaushik) and wife Nisha (Shriya Saran), a school teacher. A corrupt MLA wanted one room of Bharat’s house for his election work to which he denies and opposes him, and then starts Bharat’s misery. Then, he gets into dirty politics and becomes a victim of corruption.

Gali Gali Chor Hai movie’s story has taken its reference from the campaigning against corruption going on nowadays in the country. It throws the light on the frustration of common man today, who is vulnerable to politics and corruption all around. Title of the movie Gali Gali Chor Hai justifies the narration of the story. Good jokes on politicians and the use of clever remark is tactful. A stretched misery and an abrupt ending prove to be the dampener.

Akshaye Khanna has given justification to the character of a common man and emerges as the hero of the film as far as commercial success of the movie is concerned. Shriya Saran looks expressive and pretty. The arguments between Akshaye Khanna and Shriya Saran as husband and wife are extremely natural. Satish Kaushik is proficient in his role of a retired government servant and troubled father. Annu Kapoor is also excellent in his character of a corrupt constable. Mugdha Godse is just well with whatsoever small or big role she has played in the movie.

Rumy Jafry the director of the film has tried to handle the current and subtle subject like politics and corruption efficiently. Some parts of the film have been dragged and only the presentation of the corruption today in the country makes it a dull effort in parts. The suffering of a common man, struggling to get out of the dirty politics and corruption is shown nicely. Admirable performances of the star cast of movie has helped the director in the final product

Akshaye’s performance as the victim of politics and corruption will able to relate the troubles of Bharat.
